I'm Doug Brinker of Jackson, Michigan. I support Kathy Schmaltz. 2004, my unit deployed to Iraq. I sustained an injury as a result of an ambush attack. I worked with Kathy to help create the Veterans Crisis Hotline. Kathy's work in veteran suicide prevention is saving lives. My name is Doug. I'm a suicide attempt survivor, and Kathy not only listens, she advocates, and she takes action. Michigan can trust Kathy Schmaltz.
